Boston’s first indoor dog park and bar
The concept of a boozy dog park is not entirely new. But Park-9 builds upon that foundation and offers its customers a unique indoor/outdoor space where fun for humans is just as important as for the doggy clients—whether they are pet parents or not. When we started ideating on the visual identity in 2021, we weren’t sure which direction to take beyond being inspired by the location’s historical, industrial aesthetic. A handful of concepts were tested in a geotargeted survey and the founding team traveled out-of-state for additional competitive research.
We landed on a mark that’s intended to be dynamic and sophisticated while remaining playful. It is a bar full of dogs, after all. Park-9 shouldn’t take itself too seriously. But it’s a few steps elevated from your average beer hall.
Park-9 received an exceptional amount of attention before its grand opening in April 2023. Within a few weeks of launching teaser content on social channels, Park-9 organically gained a few thousand followers on Instagram (as of April 2024, that follower count is over 29K). Digital engagement continues to be strong.
